THE HISTORY OF THE ICE CREAM
You are not going to believe it, but it is true.
The ones who invented the ice cream were the chinenses three thousand years ago.
Imagine that when the ice cream appeared in China it was a  mix of snow with fruit juice, similar enough to the one that nowadays we know it as " raspadinha ".
And in Rome, capital of Italy, the emperor Nero, ordered his slaves to look for snow in the mountains in order to mix it with honey, fruit pulp or juices. The ice was kept in deep wells built by the local people. That was 1900 years ago.
But today, in the whole world, the ones who make the biggest number of ice creams are the Americans. It was the United States, in the decade of 50's, that began the first production in industrial scale.
In Brazil, the ice cream became known in 1834, when two "Cariocas" merchants  bought 217 tons of ice, coming in a ship from North America, and they began to manufacture the ice creams with Brazilian fruits.
There was no way of conserving the cold ice cream; therefore he had to be taken right after being prepared. There was an announcement informing the exact time of the production. The first announcement that appeared it was in São Paulo, on July 04, 1878.
The announcement was like this: " Ice creams - everyday at 3:00 p.m., in the Right Street number 44 ".
